Caddo Mills ISD
Lone Star Communications was selected by Caddo Mills ISD to install and configure the communications and security systems for the new Griffis Elementary School.
Caddo Mills ISD wanted state of the art technology to assist them with the daily operation of the Griffis Elementary School. Lone Star Communications installed the following solutions to achieve the goals of the administration.
- Rauland Telecenter ICS
- Vodavi XTS phone system
- Amano access control system
- Panasonic WJND300A NVR security camera system
The Rauland Telecenter ICS is capable of handling telephone speaker intercom communications, audio program distribution, voice announcement paging, classroom bell schedules and secondary clock corrections. This system allows the Office to broadcast to all rooms and hallways or to one specific location. The Rauland Telecenter ICS was the perfect tool for their need.
The Vodavi XTS telephone system is a business communication system from Vertical Communications that is cost effective for small to mid sized businesses. The XTS system provides analog and digital environments. The XTS system provided Griffis Elementary with a telephone solution that allows for communications within the school, as well as, outside. The XTS system allows for custom ring assignments so classrooms would be able to call out, but not receive outside calls during classroom hours.
The Panasonic network video recorder is a top of the line network CCTV appliance which allows Caddo Mills the ability to monitor and record images from within and outside the school. The NVR has the ability to record on a schedule, 24/7, or utilize motion detection. It is also a network recorder that provides an easy connection to the school’s network allowing the Principal to view images and retrieve recorded events. The Panasonic NVR paired with network cameras features high quality MPEG streams and archival JPEG images.
The Amano access control system is a multi-door enterprise access control solution designed to meet today's most demanding security requirements. The system uses the powerful Amano AC Advanced Controller and the AmanoNet Access Control Software Suite to control over 3,000 doors and up to 16,000 tag holders in a single building. This system provides Griffis Elementary the ability to keep the campus secured with access controls at all entryways. It also provides the ability to assign access identification cards to staff members and set their access times.
